It had been such fun meeting the bride, Stephanie, and designing for her wedding. After deciding on the colour palette - various shades of purple and ivory with a little green, we were hyped to find out that she loves birdcages as much as we do and knew this is going to be a very special wedding.
The ceremony was held at the Peak Suite of Four Seasons Hotel and here is the setup...
2 large birdcages were tailor made and brimming with flowers inside and out.
Love how the birdcages turned out. Flowers include a luscious mix of Hydrangea, Roses, Spray roses, Lisianthus, Tulips, Ageratum, Snow-on-the-Mountain and a very special vine - Passion Flower / Passiflora.
We used Passion Flower before for our tablescape design in New York and have been missing it every since. They were in season and so we ordered them from Holland. Even just their leaves, curly tendrils and buds are gorgeous and we love the way they cascaded loosely over the birdcages. Their blooms only last for about half a day and one opened up right before the ceremony so we placed it on the signing table.
For dinner reception at the Harbour View Ballroom, the birdcages were moved to the entrance and together with warm candles, welcomed the guests.
Continuing with the theme, birdcages on wreaths of flowers for the reception table.
We also designed a wall with fresh flower and foliage for taking pics with guests in the cocktail area.
And now one of the most important elements for any memorable wedding - centerpieces! Birdcage candle holders adorned all the tables. For the flowers, the bride wished that guests could take home some of the flowers at the end of the evening, so we made hand-tied bouquets placed in vases.
And for the head table...
The set of birdcages in ivory with a hint of gold matched with the table linen and place settings perfectly. To create a different look, we filled them with flowers instead of using them as candles holders.
A peek before dinner started.
A matching backdrop set the stage inside the ballroom.
And a few pictures of the personal flowers by one of our favourite photographer, Jada Poon.
Stephanie wore a stunning long red lace dress for the tea pouring ceremony and we did a bouquet with antique pink Garden Rose, hot pink and pastel pink Spray Roses, Asclepias, Bouvardia and Galax Leaf to go with the dress.
We love how the purple bouquets provide a pop of colour against the white bridal gown and bridesmaids dresses without being overpowering.
Stephanie wore an elegant bridal gown, we suggested a vintage purple bouquet to go with it, which consisted of vintage lilac Garden Rose, lilac Rose, our favourite blush cream Spray Rose, purple Hydrangea and Nigella aka Love-in-a-Mist seed capsule.
As the bridesmaids dresses are more playful, so their bouquets are more of a garden style in matching shades of purple with ivory and green.

We are glad that Stephanie & Thomas had such a beautiful and memorable wedding to mark the start of their new lives together and we wish them a blissful marriage for the many years to come!!
